Creating a New Journey
Once you click the + New Journey button on the main page you'll be taken in where you can select the Journey type.
A linear Journey’s steps will release upon completion of the prior step. This means that future Journey assignments will not appear as enrollments on the learners’ transcripts or in reporting until they get to those steps.
A non-linear journey will make all steps available at once with the exception of utilizing Advanced Scheduling.
[1] The Untitled Journey heading at the top of the page is the Journey Title. Click EDIT to the right of the text field or click on the text itself to modify the value.
[2] The (No description) heading at the top of the page is the optional Journey Description. Click EDIT to the right of the text field or on the text itself to modify the value.
[3] Under General Settings, set the Journey Completion steps.
- Complete all steps - To complete the Journey, the learner must complete all the steps in the Journey.
- Complete a given number of steps - Only available for non-linear Journeys. The learner needs to complete at least X number of steps set by the author to complete the Journey.
- Complete the first step or the rest of the Journey - This is typically used for a pre-assessment type of Journey where the first step is a course with an assessment. If the learner passes, then the Journey is completed. If the learner fails, the rest of the Journey becomes available to complete.
Add steps (Course, Program, Live Training, Checkpoint, or a Journey) to the Journey using the Add new step button at the bottom of the page.
The Advanced Scheduling and Due Date settings are optional but will allow you to delay steps or make due on a specific date if needed.
Note: Course and program requirements will influence due dates. If a specific course or a set of courses needs to be completed within seven days, that rule will be set at the course or program level.
When done adding steps, click PUBLISH at the top right to activate the Journey.
